IR Target Flasher
Flash the IR Target firmware over USB, straight from your browser. Works with the ESP32-WROOM-32E and the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1; the board type is detected automatically when you connect.
- Plug the board into your computer with a data-capable USB cable. On an ESP32-S3 DevKitC with two USB ports, either port works (the one marked UART is usually the most reliable).
- Enter the device name, click Connect and install and pick the board's serial port.
- Leave Erase device unchecked for device updates. Erasing also wipes the saved settings, a changed Wi-Fi password (back to the default) and the statistics counts, including the all-time count.
- If it fails to connect, hold the BOOT button while the connection starts, then release it. On an ESP32-S3 plugged into the USB port, press RESET once flashing finishes if it doesn't restart by itself.
- When it finishes, join the Wi-Fi network named after your device. The default password is
IRtrigger@1! and it can be changed on the settings page. Then open 192.168.4.1.

Already flashed? Update from the device's settings page (Firmware update) with the
firmware.bin for that board:
The settings page shows which board it's running on, and it refuses a file built for the other chip.
Uses ESP Web Tools; flashing happens locally in your browser over Web Serial.
